Who Am I?
November 1, 2008Cale, here.
I’m a 19-year old college sophomore at a small liberal arts college in the Midwest. I’m a Neuroscience/Behavioral Psych double major, with a minor in History of Minorities.
I’ve been diagnosed with Asperger’s and a Sensory Processing Disorder (prior to the Aspie diagnosis), along with a variety of mental and physical health issues.
I have a 25-year old brother with Autism, mild Cerebral Palsy, and a Developmental Delay.
I created this blog after becoming aware of the lack of blogs concerning teenagers with Special Needs siblings, particularly created by individuals with a few special needs themselves, as well as the collective interest of parents raising Special Needs children in this oft-silenced perspective.
I’ll mostly be blogging about my perspective on ASDs and things that have helped my brother and I cope with the various aspects of our different abilities, as well as how he and I have managed to cultivate a tight relationship. I’ll also include some interviews with my mother who has plenty of insight but is entirely computer illiterate.
I hope you’ll stick around to watch this blog grow.

I certainly will. Do you have an e-mail?
